DIY KRAMPUS ORNAMENT (THE FELT HORNS & TONGUE VERSION)

Because the holidays needed a little menace.

If you’re tired of “wholesome” ornaments that look like they’ve never caused trouble a day in their lives, here’s something actually worth hanging on a tree:

a simple Krampus ornament made with felt, glue, and pure holiday spite.

This is the easiest, most mortal-proof craft you’ll ever teach.

No clay.

No sculpting.

No art degree.

Just scissors and the desire to terrify your neighbors.

WHAT YOU NEED

Black round ornament

Red felt (tongue of doom)

Brown or black felt (horns of questionable judgment)

White felt or googly eyes

Hot glue

Scissors

A personality as dark as your coffee

HOW TO MAKE YOUR LITTLE KRAMPUS DEMON

1. Make the Tongue

Cut a small strip of red felt, round the tip, and snip the end so it looks forked.

Glue it right onto the front of the ornament.

Instant attitude.

2. Add the Horns

Cut two tiny goat-demon horns out of felt.

Glue them to the top of the ornament so

Krampus looks like he’s judging everyone in the room.

3. Create the Eyes

Pick your flavor of chaos:

White felt circles

Googly eyes

A paint pen dot if you’re lazy

Glue them on.

Boom.

Soul-piercing stare achieved.

4. Add the Mouth & Snarl Lines

Cut a simple mouth shape from felt and glue it on,

or draw it with a marker like an unhinged holiday card illustrator.

5. Hang It Up

Most ornaments already have hooks.

If not, glue a ribbon on and pretend it was your plan from the start.

THE RESULT

A creepy, adorable, handmade Krampus that anyone can make…

and everyone will question.

This is the kind of ornament that says:

“Welcome to my home. Behave.”
