When to Use It

What You’ll Need

• A black balloon or hollow gourd (symbol of echo)

• One strand of the target’s handwriting (a note, a name, or signature)

• Black thread

• A small bell or chime

• A dark room with no mirrors

• One piece of obsidian or onyx

• A flat stone or black bowl

The Spell:

1. Begin at night, during the waning moon—when words fade and light retreats.

2. Place the handwriting or name into the hollow object (balloon or gourd).Say softly:

“Your words still fall,but they do not land.Your voice is the wind in a dead canyon.Speak all you like. .No one remembers.”

3. Wrap the hollow object in black thread. As you wind, whisper:

“Thread by thread,I stitch your soundto silence.”

4. Place the object on the stone or in the bowl. Hold the obsidian in your hand. Ring the bell once. Not to summon—but to end the echo.

“What once rang out… now rings hollow.”

5. Blow gently on the object. Seal it with your breath. Then leave it in a dark drawer, cabinet, or box—not buried. This silence must be kept close.

Signs It’s Working:

• Others stop responding when the target speaks

• Their voice seems “glossed over” in groups

• Their jokes fall flat, their stories go ignored

• People forget what they said, or misquote them completely

• They may begin to speak louder, trying to regain presence—this is the spell choking their influence

To Break the Spell:

Break the hollow container. Burn the paper inside.Ring the bell three times in daylight. But only if you truly want them heard again.
