“Death: The Card That Doesn't End You—It Remakes You”
By Darklady
Let’s clear the air.
The Death card isn’t scary.
It’s not tragic.
And no, it doesn’t mean someone’s going to die—unless they deserve it.
Death is change you can’t undo.
It’s the burning of bridges, the shedding of masks, the decaying of everything fake, plastic, and hollow.
It’s the force that says:
“You can either evolve or be dragged.”
Symbolism Breakdown (Dark Witch Style):
The Skeleton: Not a symbol of fear, but of essence. The bones remain when all else rots. What’s left after everything dies?
That’s who you really are.
The Black Banner with the White Rose: Death carries purity—not peace, but truth. The white rose says: this is real now. No more pretending.
The Fallen Figures: Pride, ego, power—they all kneel. Nobody escapes Death. That’s what makes her so sacred.
The Sun Rising in the Background: This is where rebirth lives. Not in light, but in survival. After you’ve been stripped to bone.
What to Do With the Death Card (Practically Speaking):
Use it in banishing rituals—especially toxic patterns, old identities, and attachments that keep crawling back.
Pair it with ashes, bone, or black string in spells that require cutting ties.
Meditate on it when you’re facing fear of change, endings, or grief.
Let Death speak.
She’s ancient—and blunt.
Place it under your pillow when you're ready to release something once and for all. Don't be surprised if the dreams bite back.
Ritual: “Let It Rot” – A Spell with the Death Card
Purpose: To end something that must die—relationship, mindset, fear, addiction, grief, guilt.
You choose.
But once done, there’s no going back.
What You Need:
The Death tarot card
One black candle
One strip of black fabric
Ashes (burned paper, herbs, incense—your call)
A piece of obsidian or onyx
Pen and small piece of paper
A shallow bowl (fireproof if you’re going to burn)
The Spell:
1. Light the black candle. Hold the Death card up to the flame without burning it. Let the shadows flicker over the image.
2. Write the thing you want to destroy. One word. One name. One curse. Just one.
3. Place the card in front of you, and say:
“I don’t fear endings. I command them.
What no longer serves will rot.
I offer it to the Death between worlds.”
4. Burn or shred the paper. Let it fall into the bowl with your ashes.
5. Wrap the obsidian in the black fabric and bury it outside or keep it somewhere you won't touch it for 30 days. This is the grave of what you released.
6. Let the candle burn to the end. Then sit with the card. Feel what’s gone. Feel what’s next.
Darklady’s Final Word:
The Death card isn’t here to take.
It’s here to strip away everything that isn’t you.
And what’s left?
A witch forged in decay and fire.
Let them fear it.
You were made for it.
