Irish Hearth Blessing – A Folk Majick Working
Long before parades and green beer, Irish homes kept their own quiet protections.
A hearth was the heart of the house, and small charms were used to keep luck and peace inside.
On St. Patrick’s Day, take a small bowl and place inside:
A pinch of salt
A sprig of rosemary or thyme
A small green stone or leaf
Set the bowl near your hearth, stove, or kitchen table.
Light a candle and say quietly: "From earth and hearth, from root and stone, let peace and good fortune live in this home."
Let the candle burn for a while as you cook or share a meal.
When the day ends, take the herbs outside and return them to the earth.
