Father’s day

“Father’s Day with a Side of Hexes: A Dark Witch’s Reflection”

by Dark Witchery

Let’s talk about Father's Day. The day where we honor the man, the myth, the guy who either raised us, ruined us, or ran off before we could hex him properly. Whichever flavor of paternal chaos you got, today’s for him.

Some of us were raised by wolves.

Some by whiskey.

Some by distant grunts from behind a newspaper.

And a rare few?

Actual dads who showed up and didn’t curse us for being different.

If that was your experience, congrats—you’re a statistical anomaly.

Enjoy your brunch.

But for the rest of us shadow witches, Father’s Day is a mixed cauldron. Maybe you light a black candle, whisper a bitter blessing, and go about your dark and glorious business.

Or maybe you pour a shot of something mean, spit it on the dirt at their grave, and call it closure.

And if you are a father? Well well well, look at you, breaking cycles, raising darklings, passing down the secrets.

We see you.

We curse gently in your direction—the good kind.

And thank you!

So to all the witches with complicated family trees (some of us have entire haunted forests like me), here’s your official permission to feel what you feel today:

love,

grief,

rage,

pride,

or that weird ache you keep behind your ribcage and only feed on Sundays.

And to the ghosts of the ones who didn’t get it right? Bob

We remember.

We write about you in our grimoires.

And sometimes, we laugh.

Because we became something powerful anyway.

💀 Witch Tip of the Day:

If you're feeling tender, write a letter.

If you're feeling enraged, write a hex.

Either way, burn it under the waxing crescent moon and pour the ashes into your favorite jar of vinegar.
